I stopped by Jade last night for dinner. I was surprised to see two NY Mets there. One was dining with his family and kids. Another, was sitting near my table dining by himself. The place was pretty empty considering it was Monday and the weather.so I started to make some small talk with the player sitting alone. He was quite friendly and talkative. He said the Mets flew in from LA and got home well after midnight Sunday night. Yesterday was their off day. Interesting enough, he said there were 4 NY Mets living in Forest Hills Gardens. He said 1 owns a home, the one I saw dining with his family, one rents an entire home and the other 2 are in co-op apartments. He said Forest Hills Gardens is such a draw because of its proximity to Shea and the fact that we have private parking on the streets. I didn't get any autographs, I'm sure they are asked enough for those but it was nice to know the NY Mets have a presence in Forest Hills Gardens.

I didn't know these particular players were living here either. They are not the first Mets though. There was a Met a few years ago, Benny Agbayani, he lived in a co-op building on the North Side of Queens Blvd, I don't remember which building, it might have been the Sans Souci, I think thats the right spelling.

and thank g-d we didn't make it to dinner as there were Roaches crawling on the walls - and not just 1 , the DUMB waiters
they may be pretty who speak no english had no clue - but the owner?? SHort Asian man, was on the ball
and paid fo rmany a round of drinks.
